Shubenacadie Wildlife Park

On Sunday, I went to the Wildlife park with Michael-John and Wil and their parents. Tyler was our guide and we had a great day.

Father's Day

I loved spending Father's Day with my daddy at the Wildlife Park and he loved spending it with me.

Mommy keeps saying "peek" (oh, that kills me) while looking around my door. Then she crawls in and suprises me at my crib. Daddy finds it funny when I look over the crib looking for mommy when she is crawling.

I learned how to crawl last week and now I'm really getting around! Here is a video of me crawling clear across the kitchen. Daddy loves the brief moments of pure concentration and determination.

I got the Flu

I got the belly flu again and I'm really not feeling good. I'm looking forward to feeling good again.

I saw Owen again this weekend. Owen dad is my daddy's best friend. Owen got a new brother this week. His name is Ben.

So I Did Stuff - What's the Big Deal?

Ok, so I crawled for the first time last night. It was for about a meter - big deal. It's not like I'm walking like my cousin Wil or crawling abound the house.

Alright, so I sat up this morning from laying down and then proceeded to do it all day. I can sit up on my own - it was easy - no big deal.

Ok, so I also grabbed my railing on my crib and stood up - all by myself - big deal.

OK, OK, so I said my FIRST WORD today and Mom and Dad were making a big fuss about it. Daddy came home and said , "Hi Gabby!" So I turn around and said, "Dada". Mom and Dad looked at each other and said it was offical. So I said Dada - It's not like I sang a sonnet.

I don't see the big deal, really. If they are excited about that little stuff, well, I'm gonna blow them away. Just wait.

I Love Warm Weather!!

I love that I can go outside without my snowsuit and hat (although I love my cute hat, Nanny). I just love seeing the birds and all the grass and eating all the brown leaves. So, is this what summer feels like?

Cousin Wil is Walking!!

I saw it - it happened. He took his first steps this past weekend. His dad was pretty happy that it took the idea of having a beer that gave him the courage to make the move.

Wil told me he plans on running all around Nanny's house and exploring as many drawers as possible. He told me that when you walk, you can reach so many more things. I can't wait to walk.

I Got More Teeth!!

I now have my two front teeth! I still keep them pretty hidden but you'll see them soon.

My Uncles are home!!

I'm so happy to see Uncle Fraser & Uncle John. They flew in for my Great Grandmother Allen's funeral. Although Grandad was sad to say goodbye to his mom, he was happy to have the whole family together again, even if only for a day or two.

Sooooo Sleepy....

It was 6:00 and I was tired but it was my suppertime. Mommy knows how upset I get when I wake up after going to sleep without supper - so she decided to try to feed me before I fell asleep. I was really sleepy and mommy tried very hard to get as much supper into me before I dozed off - but it was a losing battle.

Trying New Foods: Carrots

Ok, so here's the scoop. I've never tried carrots and I'm about to try them for the very first time. At first I thought dad was feeding me rotten baby food until I realized it was something new and I realized it was something good.

Dad thought it would be funny to video me in case I made funny faces so here's that video. By the way, he says he can't wait to video me trying dill pickles and ice cream.

I'm 6 Months!!!

...and I celebrated by making the bed. Oh, I love making the bed so much.

Oh yeah, I also grew another tooth on my 6 month birthday. Now, I have two on the bottom row. I would've liked it to come in on the top row so then I could chomp down on mommy and daddy like my cousin Wil. His mommy loves it beacause she screams in delight every time he gets a piece her neck.

Almost my Birthday!!!

On Thursday I turn 6 months old. I can't wait. And I get to go for my needles tomorrow. I don't remember the last time I got them because I was only 4 months old but I think they sound fun. Are they candy? What's candy?

A Big Week

Hi Everyone!!

Sorry I haven't written in a while. I'v been busy growing teeth! Yup, teeth! I have one on my bottom gum and I think I have another one coming in on my top gum. I'm such a good baby - my tooth was in 2 days before mom and dad even noticed it. No crying, no fussing - just growing the toofers.

I also rolled over and can sit up on my own now (see the video below).

I am eating lots of baby food and I love it, especially the sweet potatoes.

My hair is turning lighter but no one seems to know what color my eyes will be. Either way, I bet they'll be cute!!

Now, I need to crawl like by cousin Wil.

It's Official! I Love Christmas!

My First Christmas was fantastic and I loved it! I tried food for the first time, I got fun gifts and I saw lots of family. I loved it.

Being Sick Sucks

Well, I have my first cold. Although dad says I look cute when I cough, I don't feel cute. I mean really, do I look cute here? I didn't think so.

Good Morning Dad!!

Mom and Dad got a new video camera and will be taking many videos of me. This is how I greet them every morning.

I'm Special

I just had my doctors appointment and I'm about 27 inches long. This puts me in the top 97th percentile. My cousin Wil was 27 inches at his 6 month appointment and I'm only 3 1/2 months old. It looks like I took after daddy.

I also weigh 15 lbs (which is average).

I hold my head up on my own and learning new noises everyday.

I love growing up.

Play Date

Every Thursday I meet up with cousin Will and we have a play date with other kids my age. It's fun.
